Being contracted gives us the information needed to conduct the transaction. We know what the practice valuation is because we do it for the seller. We know the buyers financial strength because we have their tax returns to verify their ability to buy at a given level. We advertise a practice to our network of buying professionals. In addition to being under contract with us, all buyers have all signed our Non Disclosure agreement ( NDA ) and that limits those who see the financial picture of a practice that is for sale. That helps to protect the value of the practice. It is also well know that the best buyers are in the know, word of mouth and in special meetings produces best results.

Putting a practice in trade journals weakens the salability of the practice. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out who the owner is and then the cell phones begin to ring. We only use the trade journals after advertizing to our national network. If there are no willing buyers, at that time, we may, as a last attempt, utilize the trade journals.
